Is it the right sort of gas, though?
I mean, if it was gas we could be cooking with or heating our homes, there may be a case, but I suspect this is just industrial farts and of no use to us.
Victim's own fault for being born there.

Nothing. Let the UN do something, it's what they're there for. Individual countries making decisions and taking action on their own is what causes most of the problems in that part of the world.

The UK should not do nothing. Instead it should gather a consensus within the UN to ascertain who used the toxic substance and where it came from. Then sanctions can be applied as necessary.

Yes, really. Issue a strongly worded press release if you feel you must.
Remember when Cameron wanted boots on the ground and a full engagement of UK troops over there to support the 'pro democracy rebels'? They turned out to be ISIS. Great intelligence gathering there. No-one has a clue what's really going on out there and who we could trust.
Nothing we ever do in the middle East helps the people over there, we only make it much worse for them and then it rebounds on us in the form of terrorism and getting stuck over there for years, costing us a fortune and the deaths and maiming of our soldiers.
Let France and Germany and the Scandi countries wade in and have a bit of a go. Aren't those countries always held up by liberals as marvellous enlightened beacons of rectitude? Let them put their hands in their pockets for once and risk their young soldiers dying for no good reason. We should sit out the middle East shitshow for at least a century. We done enough and caused enough damage to the middle East and our own citizens and soldiers as it is with our half cocked efforts in that region. Let other nations deal with it. Not that it can be 'dealt with' anyway.

As for tmwhy this was done - just as the lat of the opposition is being cleared out of there - is to get us to respond, so that the Russians can shoot down a plane or two. It's so fucking obvious.

He's getting away with this because he can and he will. As far as I can see there is no other option to finally end the war that doesn't end up with Assad still in charge. We can all hazard a pretty good guess what will happen if his regime falls (it won't). The USA will do something token to express their ourage. Assad and Putin will be outraged in return and there might be some minor military aggro (nothing major as the USA, Russia and Turkey can't afford that) but it will amount to nothing in the scheme of things.

Like other posters here, I think the UK should speak with the UN and anyone else to: - get an understanding of wtf is going on there right now. who is doing what to who - agree a humanitarian approach with all other major players
Boots on ground don't work.
Trumps 60 Cruise missiles have achieved what?
A different approach jaw jaw not war fucking war.

These countries cannt handle democracy.
Strong man leaders is our best option with them.
As for human rights, That's their problem. We've given them a chance and the first thing they did was vote extremists in.

Personally I am in favour of flattening the whole of the middle east, land and life. Will save the rest of the world a fortune. You can add Africa and parts of |Europe to that too. USA and Canada can stay I quite like them lot (-:

Theresa May is trying to look statesmanlike to deflect her Brexit farce. She's actually an incompetent fool. Syria is something that Britain has no relationship with so leave well alone.
If Putin wants to get involved let him get on with it. Britain needs to start realising that it is a small country off the coast of mainland Europe and no longer running an empire.
